Tile Contractor in Ashland, MAAshland showers worth the upgrade.

Builder-grade baths and kitchens get real tile, from Route 135 to the Route 126 condos.

Ashland, Massachusetts

Newer homes, plainer tile.

Ashland is one of the newer towns on our list.

The median home here went up in 1984, and about one in four was built after 2000.

The town stayed small until the post-war boom and was mostly residential by the 1980s.

Route 126 has filled with retail centers and condos since then.

Homes from those years often came with simple builder-grade tile in the bath and kitchen.

A plain tub wall can become a full-height wall of porcelain or glass.

Route 135 is lined with older houses, and about one Ashland home in three was built before 1970.

Those rooms need more prep work.

We set showers, backsplashes and floors from our base in Framingham, and estimates are free.

The houses here

What Ashland homes are ready for.

  • Builder-grade baths

A quarter of Ashland homes went up after 2000, and many baths from those years have basic tile.

A larger tile, a niche and a new floor can change the room without opening up the whole house.

  • Condos along Route 126

About one in six Ashland homes is in a building with five or more units.

Work in those buildings follows association rules, so ask about hours and parking before we book the job.

  • The older streets

Route 135 is lined with older development.

About one Ashland home in three dates from before 1970, and about one in eight from before 1940.

Expect walls that are not plumb and floors that are not level.

Ashland is about 13 minutes from Framingham.

We take Route 126, then Route 135 and Fountain St. Call or text to book a free estimate.

American Tile installed a beautiful, glass backsplash in our kitchen. We had purchased the tile separately without Rodolfo’s advice, and we made an error in our selection of tile and grout combination. Rodolfo found the best solution, did the job (with great difficulty), made it right and we ended up with a gorgeous backsplash for Christmas entertaining. I would definitely call him again for our next tile project.
