Tile Contractor in Marlborough, MATight rooms, tidy joints.

Condo baths, older houses and downtown storefronts, about 19 minutes from Framingham.

Marlborough, Massachusetts

A city with three kinds of tile job.

Marlborough is not one kind of housing.

A little over four in ten homes are single-family houses.

Close to three in ten sit in buildings of five or more units.

It was a shoe-making city from 1836, then grew with the high-tech boom along I-495 and the Mass Pike.

The housing shows both.

About one home in five predates 1940, and just under half predate 1970.

Those walls and floors move, so we check the surface first and plan the cuts to land where nobody looks.

In a condo or apartment the room is small and the rules belong to the building.

Tile goes up in a bathroom you can reach across, and every box has to come in through a hallway.

Downtown, near Monument Square, entries and restrooms need floors that take daily foot traffic.

We tile homes and businesses.

Where space is the problem.

  • Small condo bathrooms

A bath this size has one or two walls to tile, and every cut shows.

Ask about parking, elevator times and building rules before the first day, and we plan around them.

  • Older bathrooms, original tile

Houses from before 1940 often have a small hall bath that has never been redone.

The floor can dip and the walls lean, so we build the layout to the room, not to a line on paper.

  • Downtown entries and restrooms

Around Monument Square and the downtown blocks, floors take foot traffic, road salt and mop water daily.

Porcelain handles it. We set it so the joints stay clean and the thresholds stay even.

We are based in Framingham, about 19 minutes away by Route 9, Route 85 and Route 20.

American Tile installed a beautiful, glass backsplash in our kitchen. We had purchased the tile separately without Rodolfo’s advice, and we made an error in our selection of tile and grout combination. Rodolfo found the best solution, did the job (with great difficulty), made it right and we ended up with a gorgeous backsplash for Christmas entertaining. I would definitely call him again for our next tile project.
