Tile Contractor in Hopkinton, MABuilder-grade to custom.

Newer primary baths and big kitchens, about 19 minutes from Framingham on Route 135.

Hopkinton, Massachusetts

One home in three is from 2000 on.

Builder-grade tile is the starting point in a lot of Hopkinton houses.

About a third of the homes here went up in 2000 or later, and nearly one in four in 2010 or later.

Only about one in ten dates to before 1940.

That older housing survives around Hopkinton Center and in Woodville, the old mill village on Route 135.

Nearly nine in ten homes are owner-occupied.

Many owners here are not fixing something broken.

They are changing a bath or kitchen to fit how they live.

Newer walls are usually flatter.

That suits large-format porcelain and slab-look panels with thin joints.

About seven in ten homes are single-family, and about one in ten sits in a larger building.

We tile both, and the condo jobs follow the building rules.

The houses here

Upgrades that show up first.

  • The stock builder shower

A shower with small white tile and a plain niche is ready for more.

We can re-tile it in large-format porcelain or marble with a bench and a pebble floor.

  • Big kitchens, bare walls

New kitchens here have long counters and a lot of open wall.

A full-height backsplash behind the range gives that wall a job.

  • Mudrooms, laundry and patios

Newer houses have more floor to cover, inside and out.

Inland MetroWest sees well over a hundred freezing nights a year.

Outdoor tile needs frost-rated material, a surface that drains and movement joints.

We are based in Framingham, about 19 minutes away by Route 126 and Route 135.

Call or text and we will set up a visit.

American Tile installed a beautiful, glass backsplash in our kitchen. We had purchased the tile separately without Rodolfo’s advice, and we made an error in our selection of tile and grout combination. Rodolfo found the best solution, did the job (with great difficulty), made it right and we ended up with a gorgeous backsplash for Christmas entertaining. I would definitely call him again for our next tile project.

Questions

Asked in Hopkinton.

Can you replace the builder-grade tile in my shower?

Yes. We can re-tile the walls and floor in porcelain, glass, marble or stone.

Add a bench or niche if you want one.

Do you tile outdoors as well as inside?

Yes, indoor and outdoor floor spaces.

Outdoor tile has to handle frost, so we use frost-rated material and plan movement joints.

Show us the space and we will talk it through.
