Tile Contractor in Waltham, MACrooked walls, straight joints.

Older walls, rental units and downtown storefronts, about 21 minutes from Framingham.

Waltham, Massachusetts

Waltham is half owners, half renters.

About half of Waltham homes are owner-occupied.

The other half are rented, so a call may come from an owner, a landlord or a property manager.

Close to a third of homes sit in buildings of five or more units.

A bit over a third are single-family houses.

Waltham was an early mill city, home to the Boston Manufacturing Company and the Waltham Watch Company.

That left a dense 19th-century core, and a little over one home in four predates 1940.

The neighborhoods run from the Highlands to Piety Corner, Warrendale and the Bleachery.

In the older buildings corners are off and floors slope.

A straight pattern takes planning before any tile is set.

Moody Street, beside the Charles River, adds a commercial side, with restaurant and storefront entries.

We tile homes and businesses.

What Waltham’s buildings ask for.

  • Landlord and manager jobs

Rental bathrooms need tile that wipes clean and holds up.

Porcelain does both, and soft MWRA water leaves less scale on grout.

Send the address, access details and photos for a straight estimate.

  • Walls that are not square

Older buildings settle, and the mill-era core is full of them.

We plan the layout from the real lines of the room, not from the tape.

The small cuts go where they hide.

  • Working in an occupied building

In a condo or apartment building you share walls, hallways and sometimes an elevator.

Ask the board or landlord about work hours and parking, and tell us on the first call.

We are based in Framingham, about 21 minutes away by Route 30 and the Mass Pike, then into Moody Street.

American Tile installed a beautiful, glass backsplash in our kitchen. We had purchased the tile separately without Rodolfo’s advice, and we made an error in our selection of tile and grout combination. Rodolfo found the best solution, did the job (with great difficulty), made it right and we ended up with a gorgeous backsplash for Christmas entertaining. I would definitely call him again for our next tile project.

Questions

Asked in Waltham.

Can I get an estimate as a landlord with several units?

Yes. Send the addresses, photos and what you want tiled in each.

Estimates are free, and we say what each unit needs.

What should I ask my building before a tile job?

Ask about work hours, elevator reservations, parking and where materials can sit.

Then call or text (774) 498-9736 and we plan around the answers.

How do you tile a wall that leans?

We check the wall with a long level and choose the layout lines from what we find.

Small errors end up in the cuts at the edges, where they are hardest to see.
